Um, DUH! What a silly question. Everyone, including that aunt who is somehow related to your father’s second cousin twice removed, wants your day as memorable as possible.
So let’s stop talking about it and start doing something about it.
In my experience with a professional bakery that has catered plenty of weddings, personalization makes weddings more memorable not just for the happy couple, but for all the attendees as well. Little touches that reflect your style, your personality, those are the things you will remember because those are the things that you’ll love the most!
Our friend, Gina, recently had a wonderful wedding in Maine that exemplified personalization. First of all, the wedding was held on Alma Farm, which is a beautiful estate in Porter, Maine. Gina and her friends used a varied assortment of locally grown flowers (from the farm and from YCB Kathryn's Fox Howe Flowers) to create the centerpieces, bouquet, and flower girl headpieces and basket. Each person made their own unique arrangement, no two were the same! All the food served was produced on Alma farm. Seriously, how much more personalized can you get?
Of course, putting your personal touch on every aspect of the wedding is easier said than done and not all of us have a beautiful farm estate in rural Maine. So what’s next? My expertise is dessert, so let me be the first to tell you that dessert is an easy, exciting way to personalize your wedding.
I love chocolate as much as the next girl, but weddings are an excellent opportunity for creativity. Classic vanilla is, well, a classic, and if that’s your flavor then go for it. But for Gina, we got more creative, and you can too! We chose farm and summer inspired flavors, Strawberry Malted Milkshake and a new custom flavor: Lemon Coconut. Insider tip: a bakery should be able to work with you to create something totally unique, and exactly what you want.
First, we start with your pictures. These are all of Gina, her husband, and their adorable twins.
The final step is to create the cupcakes and affix the image to the frosting. In this photo, our bride requested Eternal Chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel buttercream frosting. edible imaging+awesome creative flavors=special day sweets nirvana
You can guarantee that no one will have cupcakes like yours at their wedding; your photo or custom design is a unique way to personalize the wedding desserts for your special day!
